The Tale of Despereaux is a book about a mouse in love with a princess that gets trapped in a dungeon with rats. In all his adventures he gets cast out of his mouse community for not cowering and reading pages instead of eating them. He experiences both cruel and kind characters, but presses on to save the princess. I liked this book, and would give it four stars.
